First pin-fin heat sinks were already manufactured in the 50s. Not earlier than in the mid-nineties pure aluminium pin-fin heat sinks were introduced for series production and in 2000 the new heat sink was named PINBLOC.

In the same year PINBLOC Windrose GmbH, with its production and sales department in Köln (Germany), was honored by an award for innovative electronic and mechanical developments. Within the bounds of technical possibilities, custom-made productions can be realized. PINBLOC stands for excellent performance in new heat sink technology.
